Flame Shroud

Hood for pre-emergence flame weeding and stale seedbed preparation.

The Flame is a hood or shroud that simply clamps onto the head of any standard sized torch with a bell diameter of 2” to 2.5”. The shroud converts a backpack torch flame weeder into a fast, efficient rolling bed flamer. Included is the stainless steel hood with an aluminum wheel and clamps for torch attachment.

What is Needed?

The Flame

Tank - 10lb Tank reccomended or smaller

Torch - We have tested these torches and find they fit in the hood. We have not tested any other torches.

400k btu - Preferred

100k btu - Tested

Regulator - A must-have to control propane. We sell the best.

Backpack - Any comfortable backpack works in this situation as long as the tank fits.

Must Have

Squeeze Valve

This valve enables you to light and transport the flame weeder with a low adjustble pilot flame. When the handle is depressed, your regulator flame setting is then fully engaged. A squeeze valve is safer and also more efficient.
